Merissa had been afraid - just a little, putting herself in Hannah's place - (for Hannah Heller's grades were inevitably just slightly lower than Merissa Charmichael's, not to mention the fact that Merissa was associate yearbook editor, Drama Club president, and cocaptain of the girls' intramural field hockey team as well; and Hannah had applied to virtually all the same colleges and Merissa) - that Hannah would be hurt, and envious, and even resentful, for it is not nearly so easy to be happy for your closest friend's good news as it is to (secretly) rejoice in your closest friend's bad news. This book clearly lays how not only how to create but maintain a team in ways that are immediately operational in a real life setting. One of my kids favorites. How can they love God if they are afraid of him. I am not big on romances that feature Amish, written by people who are not Amish. Each time I read it, I find something new to think about. I wouls suggest the title to both young readers curious about their world and to older readers seeking a concise and interesting acount of exploration. And best of all, the authors have done a great job of making it readable, easy to follow, and interesting. Also Lobo challenges modern westernized approach to life with ancient Indian wisdom. Do successful people think differently from those who never reach their potential.
