I want to give my gratitude to the authors for rewriting the entire story in contemporary English, they have done a wonderful job rewriting this classic while keeping the same elements of the original. Flahive's language is almost always naturalistic, often sounding throwaway, and yet every line contributes to a growing impression of a living, breathing family.
